As a start-up HVAC company, without even a name, Reel Comfort came to us looking to get branded completely from the ground up. Through tight collaboration, we landed on a friendly fishing and nautical-inspired brand with the name Reel Comfort Heating & Cooling.

The owners wanted something that could personally connect to them, as well as the region of their service area. This is sometimes a common strategy, but so rare to see done correctly. If not properly planned for, building your brand around a specific city or geographic region can often come with many long-term problems for expansion.

Scalability was always in the back of our mind. This needed to be a brand that could work in Reel Comfort’s initial service area, in neighboring regions, or as a national franchise. The water theme would also help future-proof Reel Comfort if and when they expand into Plumbing, a long-term goal we knew they had.

Despite being a new company up against so many big names in their initial market, Reel Comfort will be charting their own course instead of blending in. Thanks to the nautical theme, fish mascot, and unique brand colors, Reel Comfort has a friendly, bold, disruptive brand that their customers can easily remember and feel at ease doing business with.
