TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR VEHICLE WRAPS

1.Deposits and fees

A standard artwork fee of $250.00 is required before Wraps Ink can begin artwork unless otherwise agreed upon. This artwork fee is subject to change and is non-refundable. If the client's project exceeds the standard design timeframe, Wraps Ink will notify the client of this before continuing the project. If so, the client will be billed an additional rate of $75 per hour until an approval is reached by the client.

A 50% deposit is required for all customers before your project can be scheduled. Your deposit is what locks in your schedule date. Your schedule date may change based on delivery of your deposit to Wraps Ink. Once materials are ordered, this deposit is non-refundable because we cannot re-use these materials as each job is custom and all materials are ordered and/or printed to fit only that project.

 2.Design 

Designs made by Wraps Ink are the property of Wraps Ink, Inc. and cannot be used, reproduced, or distributed in any way without written permission. Client supplied logos or images do not apply.

 2(a). Client Supplied Design

While we will do our best to make customer supplied designs work, we are not responsible for the layout location of said designs. We employ a staff of graphic designers who can work with a customer's in-house designer to ensure accuracy in layout and designs. Depending on the scope of work or time spent on customer supplied designs, additional fees may apply. Wraps Ink is not responsible for images and or logos supplied by the customer that may be subject to copyright. Wraps Ink cannot reproduce, publish or distribute artwork or designs that are copyrighted or trademarked without the owner’s permission. The client is responsible for making sure the artwork, images, and logos used in the artwork supplied by the customer and printed by Wraps Ink is not infringing on any said copyright or trademarks. The client assumes all legal liabilities for artwork or images used in the artwork they supply.

3. Color Matching 

Not all Pantone or PMS colors can be exactly duplicated by digital printing. We do our best to match any specific color requests. Should you require a printed proof prior to printing, please notify us, and we will arrange for a proof to be provided prior to printing at least 72 hours before the job is scheduled. 

4. Inspection 

At the time of drop off, a representative from Wraps Ink will go over the vehicle with you to inspect damages, paint peel, dents, cracked windshields etc. If flaws are found they will be noted, and the client must sign off on the inspection sheet prior to installation.

This inspection sheet may be emailed if a rep from Wraps Ink is not available at time of drop off. Wraps Ink is not responsible for damage that occurs prior to inspection.

5. Cancellations 

Cancellations or requests to reschedule installation appointments without 48 hours notice prior to the installation date will result in a $150 fee. 

6. Vehicle Preparation 

The client is responsible for ensuring the vehicle is clean. We recommend washing the vehicle one day prior to installation. Do not use tire shine when washing the vehicle and make sure there is no wax or sealers used after this wash. A simple solution of water and dawn dish soap is recommended. If the car has not been washed, a $35 cleaning fee will apply, and delivery time/day may be affected due to the vehicle needing proper time to dry prior to installation.

7. Vehicle Drop-Off 

We prefer the vehicle to be dropped off the evening prior to installation. This will give the vehicle proper time to both acclimate to the inside temperature of our installation facility as well as dry from any inclement weather.

8. Installation 

Vehicle wraps are designed on a 2-dimensional template. Since we are printing and installing on a 3-dimensional surface, small variations from proof may occur. This is due to compound curves, indents, recesses, body lines, rivets, etc. of the vehicle. 

8(b). Seams & Overlaps

Wraps are printed on 54” or 60” wide material. Since most vehicles are larger than 54”, seams and overlaps may be necessary. This is a normal part of the wrap process on most vehicles. On most installations, removal of certain hardware is necessary. On vehicles 5 years or older, Wraps Ink is not responsible for items broken or damaged during this removal or installation process. This includes but is not limited to: mirrors, door handles, windshield sprayers, headlights, or taillights.

9. 3rd Party Installations: 

In the event that Wraps Ink is only installing a wrap and not designing or printing it, we are not liable for the vinyl material, the print, or missing print material. We are not liable for the paint condition of the vehicle when installing. Any rust, bubbling, scratches, dents, or other damage will be visible through the film, and such surface imperfections may damage the film or cause the film to fail prematurely. Any recently applied finish must be fully cured for a minimum of 30 days prior to film being applied.

Installers use a heat gun to stretch and reposition the vinyl and a squeegee to eliminate imperfections. It's important to note that installers rely on sharp razors to manipulate the vinyl and remove excess material around door handles and crevices. Even with the expert installers, there is a small chance of minor nicks and scratches to the surface. Wraps Ink will not be held liable.

9.Removals 

During the removal process, we must use heat and chemicals to properly remove the wrap. Wraps Ink is not responsible for damage to paint, plastics, or any surface previously wrapped. If vehicle wraps are left on past the recommended removal or expiration date, it can cause damage to the paint and will result in longer removal times. Removals are priced by the hour, and this price is subject to change depending on the life of the wrap and removal difficulty.

10. Warranty 

Wraps Ink offers a one-year warranty on all vehicle wraps excluding window perforated films. This warranty includes peeling, lifting, fading or cracking. It is the client’s responsibility to bring any issues to Wraps Ink before the warranty expiration. Wraps Ink is not responsible for items or issues not brought forth by the client. Wraps Ink is not responsible for material flaws or defects after the one-year period. For warranty information, you must visit the manufacturer’s website or brochure for specific information regarding the product(s) you ordered. Wraps Ink does not manufacture wrap material. However, if there is an issue with the product our manufactures do stand behind their products as do we, so please do not hesitate to contact us. Damage done to the vinyl material by the customer, or any third party is not a warranty issue and will not be covered as such.

Although vinyl manufactures guarantee the material to last up to 5 years, high end material 7 to 10 years, the actual lifespan of a vehicle wrap can be less than 3-5 years depending on the weather and after care. We offer no warranties on Chrome, Plastic, Caulking and Non-Factory Finished Paint.

 

11. Wrap Care 

 

We recommend hand washing only for the first week and thereafter if possible. Keep the car out of direct sunlight for the first 2-3 days after installation. Do not pressure wash the car. Do not wash the car in automatic car washes as this will void your one-year warranty. If using high-pressure sprayers after 30 days, always stay at least 3-4 feet away from the vinyl material. We recommend when cleaning to use only vinyl material safe products like soap and water, avoid any harsh chemicals of any kind that can deteriorate the vinyl material. Avoid using abrasive washing clothes as well as drying towels. Never use wax or clay bars, it will cause the vinyl material to turn yellow and crack.

  

12. Vehicle Pick Up 

The customer will be notified one hour prior to the completion of the vehicle wrap job. Should the customer be unable to pick up the vehicle the same day, please let our staff know at that time, and arrangements will be made to hold the vehicle until the agreed upon day. Any vehicle not picked up within 24 hours of job completion (or the agreed upon pick up day,) will incur a fee of $20.00 per day until the vehicle is picked up.

13. Final payment 

Payment of the vehicle wrap is required at time of pickup unless agreed upon prior to pick up. 

14. Returns 

Once vinyl is installed, all sales are final and there are no refunds. 

If an issue arises, the customer must submit their complaint in writing and give Wraps Ink, inc. the opportunity to try and resolve the issue prior to any legal actions. Since all wrap installations are custom to the vehicle or project Wraps Ink, must be given the opportunity to address any issues, including removal and reinstallation time.
